Brookhaven 30319 (DeKalb county) Brookhaven was the city's first country club neighborhood. It is bounded by Peachtree Road, Peachtree-Dunwoody Road, and Windsor Parkway. This home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac community of newer homes off Osborne Road. It is located less than a mile from Oglethorpe University, Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, and provides easy access to both I-285 and GA 400 as well as the Brookhaven MARTA rail station. There are three major parks nearby. Blackburn Park features sports fields, tennis courts, a picnic area and trails on its rambling 49 acre site. Murphey-Candler Park is 135 acres and includes multiple sports fields, tennis courts, a swimming pool, playground, picnic area, lake and trails. Chastain Park (320 acres) has a public 18-hole golf course; a swimming pool; multiple ball fields and tennis courts; a recreation center with basketball courts and weight facility; a new state of the art playground; and a 3.3 mile path for walking, running and cycling. Chastain is also home to the Chastain Park Amphitheatre, an outdoor entertainment venue that hosts some of Atlanta's finest concerts. Chastain Horse Park occupies 13 acres of parkland and provides riding instruction and horse boarding as well as a therapeutic riding program for the disabled. There is also a neighborhood park just down Osborne Road. Brookhaven Park is a 9-acre park with a sports field, basketball court, playground, picnic area and trails. There are a number of private golf clubs in the area, including the Capital City Country Club that lies in the heart of the Brookhaven neighborhood and the Peachtree Golf Club at its eastern edge.
